Book a Tune-Up →Why a Spring Tune-Up Matters
Old fuel from last fall gums up carburetors. Dirty air filters choke the engine. A dull blade tears your grass instead of cutting it, leaving brown tips. Spending one hour now on a tune-up saves you a season of yanking the pull cord and re-mowing patchy lawns — and adds years to your mower’s life.
What’s Included in a Lawn Mower Tune-Up
- Engine oil & filter change — fresh oil keeps the engine cool and running clean
- New spark plug — reliable starts, smoother idle
- New air filter — restores airflow and power
- Blade sharpening or replacement — clean cuts, healthier grass
- Carburetor inspection & clean — fixes the #1 spring no-start issue
- Fuel system check — flush out stale gas, check filter and lines
- Belt & cable inspection — catches wear before it strands you mid-cut
- Deck cleaning — scrape underside so airflow drives proper cut
- Full run-up test — we don’t leave until it starts on the first pull

Lawn Mower Tune-Up FAQ
How much does a lawn mower tune-up cost?
We quote it up front — one price, parts included, no add-ons. Riding and zero-turn mowers are quoted before we start. Call (920) 304-9377 or request online.
When should I get my lawn mower tuned up?
Best time is spring — late April through early June in Green Bay — before the grass really takes off. If you missed spring and you’re already mowing, do it now. Fresh oil and a clean carb add real years to a mower’s life.
Do you sharpen blades?
Yes — blade sharpening is included in every tune-up. A sharp blade cuts grass cleanly instead of tearing it, which keeps your lawn greener and reduces brown tips. If a blade is beyond sharpening, we’ll replace it.
My mower has been sitting all winter and won’t start — can you help?
Almost always, yes. The most common cause is stale fuel that’s gummed up the carburetor over the winter. We clean carbs on-site, flush the fuel system, and have you running the same visit.
Do you tune up riding and zero-turn mowers?
Yes. Riding and zero-turn jobs take a bit longer and we quote those up front. Same mobile service — no trailering anywhere.
How long does a tune-up take?
Push mowers: usually 45–60 minutes on-site. Riding mowers: 1–2 hours depending on condition. If we find something that needs a part we don’t carry, we order it and come back — no extra trip charge.
